I got no other response from the kernel team than "Can you ensure you
will not break any other device?" which I can't certify myself.

I uploaded and tested my latest changes. I also tested an image that contains 
this package, to see if the machine can boot correctly (it does). If you are 
curious you can find the image here:

To produce it I simply (dirtily) used a livecd-rootfs fork.

ABout your point 4) I realized that my priority: important was because I
took inspiration in nvidia-tegra-defaults. I did not know what I was
doing. What would be, according to you, the proper priority value? And
the proper way to get it into the live image?
