Public bug reported:

openjdk-8 has Build-Depends and Depends on gtk2.

The number of reverse depends for gtk2 is small enough that Ubuntu 26.04
LTS could ship without gtk2 if Archive Admins were ok with removing the
last packages. (gtk 3's first release was 15 years ago, and gtk2's final
release was 5 years ago, so gtk2 has been completely unmaintained
upstream for 5 years.)

I'm filing this bug early since I believe Canonical explicitly wants
openjdk-8 to still be available in Ubuntu 26.04 LTS.
