For anyone ending up here after searching around about this issue as it pertains to Blender my simple workaround was to edit the Exec field of the desktop file that is a part of the snap install.
``` cp /var/lib/snapd/desktop/applications/blender_blender.desktop ~/.local/share/applications/ ``` Then modify the Exec attribute of the copied .desktop file to be as follows: ``` Exec=WAYLAND_DISPLAY="" /snap/bin/blender %f ``` This seems to workaround the issue just fine for me, allowing me to use the various child window dialogs that blender spawns just fine. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2130855 Title: Opening Blender child windows hangs in GNOME-49.0 (fixed in 49.1) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/blender/+bug/2130855/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
