> Is this problem new in 25.10? For me -- yes.
My setup also places the new external monitor on top (and slightly to the left of the internal monitor, since the external one is wider). I've used that setup for a few years, and gnome-shell used to remember which app was on which window as I unplugged/re-plugged them. I've filed an upstream issue, after not finding an existing one that matches my experience: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/mutter/-/issues/4463 ** Bug watch added: gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/mutter/-/issues #4463 https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/mutter/-/issues/4463 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2127743 Title: Apps are moved to the external monitor when it's connected To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mutter/+bug/2127743/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
