Hi,
I also met this bug on the same HP laptop, with Ubuntu 24.04 HWE kernel.
Product Name: HP ZBook Power 16 inch G11 Mobile Workstation PC
BIOS Information
Vendor: HP
Version: W97 Ver. 01.07.01
Release Date: 09/24/2025
$ uname -a
Linux laptop 6.14.0-36-generic #36~24.04.1-Ubuntu SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Wed Oct
15 15:45:17 UTC 2 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
After disabling and blacklisting the rtsx_pci* module, the error becomes the
following, also this error keeps raising all the time.
Dec 03 15:10:13 laptop kernel: pci 0000:58:00.0: device [10ec:525a] error
status/mask=00001000/00006000
Dec 03 15:10:13 laptop kernel: pci 0000:58:00.0: device [10ec:525a] error
status/mask=00001000/00006000
Dec 03 15:10:13 laptop kernel: pci 0000:58:00.0: device [10ec:525a] error
status/mask=00001000/00006000
Dec 03 15:10:13 laptop kernel: pci 0000:58:00.0: [12] Timeout
$ cat /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-rtsx_pci.conf
blacklist rtsx_pci_sdmmc
blacklist rtsx_pci
The workaround is either setting the 'pcie_aspm=off' kernel parameter,
or disabling the card reader from BIOS.
Thanks,
Tom
