> replace it with an explicit `--preserve-env=VAR` for security reasons

Functionality comes before security. Even the most secure software is worth
nothing if it doesn't work.
Thousands of scripts cannot simply "replace" things because utilities they
depend on are now broken (on purpose). It simply won't happen. Thousands of
useful scripts will remain unusable. Some don't even target Ubuntu so they do
not even care.

Also I would like my original description to be preserved:

[CRITICAL] sudo-rs is incomplete, breaks existing scripts

'sudo' from sudo-rs (now forced upon users in Ubuntu 25.10) is
incomplete and causes major issues with existing scripts.

I report this for the missing '-E' argument REQUIRED by existing solutions
(even snap uses this!).
Upstream report: https://github.com/trifectatechfoundation/sudo-rs/issues/1299

But there are many more issues with sudo-rs:
https://github.com/trifectatechfoundation/sudo-rs/issues

Stop replacing battle-tested utils (sudo, core-utils) with those alpha-quality
programs!
They are not drop-in replacements. They do not fix anything. They are
incomplete and buggy.
STOP THIS LUNACY!
