me too. using the test button on the devices page, there is a hick up in the test-tone except for the 'ALC883 digital' entry when there is no sound at all tried all settings like Auto;ALC883 analog; ALC883 Digital; ALSA; OSS and Pulse I can choose any system-sound-event but none does give sound.
