Since I've updated the machine I was having this problem on to plucky
(which is fixed), I attempted to test this fix using a network booted
live cd for noble. That reproduced the problem, once I set a 1 min
screen blank delay. I updated the mutter packages to that new version
13, note that the version has to be manually forced for all the mutter
packages as proposed packages are by default pinned to a low priority
now. However, logging the ubuntu user off and restarting gdm3 did not
seem to produce a fixed result. Of course I couldn't try a reboot. The
only mutter process I could see mutter-x11-frames did seem to have been
updated. I'm not really confident if this is to be expected behaviour
for the live cd, but here is the data point anyway.
