Summarizing status of required TODOs:

#1 - If the Server team agrees to maintain this, please have them subscribed to
the package.
-> Server Team has read this MIR and is aware of it, but didn't subscribe yet.

#2 - Package bin:mariadb-client depends on libconfig-inifiles-perl. The latter
also needs an MIR.
-> In MariaDB 1:11.8.5-2 the mariadb-client Perl Recommends have been dropped
to Suggests and thus there is no longer any dependency on
libconfig-inifiles-perl.

#3 - Package mariadb-client recommends libdbd-mariadb-perl | libdbd-mysql-perl.
Could this be dropped to Suggests?
-> In MariaDB 1:11.8.5-2 the mariadb-client Perl Recommends have been dropped
to Suggests and https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1115678
closed.

#4 - The report mentions shipping of apparmor profiles. However, the default
profile is empty, which means apparmor is disabled. Also IIUC, upstream
profiles are not shipped. Please provide a justification.
-> No change in https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=875890,
upstream does not provide an AppArmor profile. Perhaps this is something the
Ubuntu Security or Server Team could implement? I don't see MySQL having an
AppArmor profile in Ubuntu
(https://packages.ubuntu.com/questing/amd64/mysql-server-core/filelist) but if
one exists, maybe it could be copied into a MariaDB version?

#5 - Symbols tracking is not in place for bin:libmariadbd19t64. Please provide
a justification.
-> Justification was provided, see above. Additionally, the libmariadbd*
embedded server binary packages could be excluded from 'main' as they anyone
using the embedded server would have a fully custom system anyway and not using
'main'. Any system using 'main' can have the real server and would not be using
a stand-alone embedded server binary.

#6 - The current stable upstream release 12.0.2 is not packaged. Please
consider packaging or provide a justfication for not doing so. Were any CVEs
fixed between 11.8.3 and 12.0.2?
-> Justification was provided, see above.

#7 - Please address the lintian error listed under [Packaging red flags]
-> MariaDB 1:11.8.5-2 has had extensive Lintian cleanups and all packaging
issues are gone, and all upstream issues have been reported upstream.
