I am having a similar problem with the nvidia-driver-580-open as well as
with the nvidia-driver-535-open on Linux Mint with the NVIDIA T600 GPU
(TU117GL). However, the problem occurs after the initial load. Once the
system goes to sleep or into idle mode, it freezes and cannot be
activated by mouse clicks, keyboard activity, or <esc> key. It must be
rebooted before the computer can be used.
