This issue is also present in 26.04 LTS (Development branch). Usb sticks and external usb HDD's/SSD's won't open when clicking on the icon in the dock.
1. Plug in any usb stick or external usb HDD/SSD. 2. click on the icon in the dock and the file manager doesn't open. 3.
