Public bug reported: Previous -nvidia kernels had been carrying the following patch:
>> fde24a3efec2 NVIDIA: SAUCE: NVMe/MVMEeOF: Patch NVMe/NVMeOF driver to support GDS on Linux 6.8 Kernel This patchset that is present in 6.17 [1] reworks the NVMe host driver to use the blk_rq_dma_map helper instead of tracking scatterlists internally, where possible. The GDS hook implementations from "NVIDIA: SAUCE: NVMe/MVMEeOF: Patch NVMe/NVMeOF driver to support GDS on Linux 6.8 Kernel" expect the old implementation and thus pass scatterlist mappings through to nvidia_fs. Rework the old GDS patch so that it works on v6.17 [1]: https://lore.kernel.org/all/[email protected]/ ** Affects: linux-nvidia-6.17 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: linux-nvidia-6.17 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** No longer affects: linux-nvidia-6.14 (Ubuntu) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2134960 Title: Update GDS/NVMe SAUCE for v6.17 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-nvidia-6.17/+bug/2134960/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
