Public bug reported:

As of pytest 8.4.0, tests that use the `yield` keyword cause an error
instead of being skipped. This package has many tests that have been
skipped since support for `yield`s was deprecated with pytest 4 which
now need to be disabled entirely until the test suite can be reworked.
