Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

If I use the 'Context menu > Close' from bottom panel window selector it
doesn't close all applications it should. Specific case:

Trying to unpack an .uif disk image I installed Magic ISO with Wine and the
application eventually froze.
So I tried to close it by first clicking the top-right 'X' with no result and
then the right-click menu of the window selector option 'Close' with no result.

I eventually closed the app by killing it from inside the System
Monitor. I don't think this should be necessary. A solution could for
example be:

* 'Window selector > Right Click > Close' could start a timer, and if
the app is still running after n seconds a new gksudo window opens
offering to kill the application.

** Affects: gnome-panel (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
