just performed a test with evince to see if that's the issue. does not seem to be the case on the local file system.
i opened a PDF and then tried to save it to disk. navigated to a parent directory containing a sub-directory. when typing in the name of the sub-directory and pressing enter, as expected, the pwd was moved to the sub-directory and the list of files therein displayed. shall try repeating the process detailed above with a sacrificial network share using gedit. if that wipes the network share, then it seems likely the issue lies with samba, if not, then the issue would appear to be evince not coping at all well with a samba share. shall report back as soon as possible. robert -- samba share contents wiped erroneously https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/180672 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
