Based on comment #7, we can call this already fixed in Ubuntu 25.x.
Although in 24.04 you should be able to avoid the problem with:

  gnome-extensions disable [email protected]

Also keep in mind that regular gnome-shell (even without extensions)
also has tiling, which is what the 'Active Screen Edges' setting was
originally designed to toggle.
