Hi Mitchell, If you look closely at the output of a system that passes beforehand, and passes afterwards, that the suggested driver implementations are different. For example, in your Jammy verification message:
System76 Gazelle with RTX 5050: Regression tests: Old version: Jammy container on Noble host (Test case passed): https://pastebin.ubuntu.com/p/8967RvBtmx/ New version: Jammy container on Noble host (Test case passed): https://pastebin.ubuntu.com/p/xqtC6QpYGV/ If you look closely, the Old version suggests: nvidia-compute-utils-580 nvidia-dkms-580 nvidia-firmware-580-580.95.05 nvidia-kernel-common-580 nvidia-kernel-source-580 nvidia-prime nvidia-settings nvidia-utils-580 pkg-config rpcsvc-proto screen-resolution-extra session-migration ubuntu-mono vdpau-driver-all x11-common x11-xkb-utils xcvt xfonts-base xfonts-encodings xfonts-utils xserver-common xserver-xorg-core xserver-xorg-video-nvidia-580 And the New version suggests: nvidia-compute-utils-580 nvidia-dkms-580-open nvidia-firmware-580-580.95.05 nvidia-kernel-common-580 nvidia-kernel-source-580-open nvidia-prime nvidia-settings nvidia-utils-580 pkg-config rpcsvc-proto screen-resolution-extra session-migration ubuntu-mono vdpau-driver-all x11-common x11-xkb-utils xcvt xfonts-base xfonts-encodings xfonts-utils xserver-common xserver-xorg-core xserver-xorg-video-nvidia-580 This is changing the driver from the closed version to the open version, which means that it does not suggest the same set of packages as before. If you look at the other pastebins, and this also affects noble, plucky, questing, and likely resolute, that the New versions always suggest the open version, no matter what. Is this intentional? Is this expected? Or is the expected version nvidia-driver-$version, not nvidia-driver-$version-open, or nvidia- driver-$version-server?
