Sure, right. Tested three different cables, no change. The same cables 
display 4K just fine if attached directly to the HDMI port. The same 
setup (laptop, hub, cable, monitor and any other peripherals) has been 
working for **months**, up to last week.

So, I'm pretty confident that this is not the case.
