Hi, thanks for opening a bug report! It looks like i915.enable_guc_submission
was replaced with i915.enable_guc in this commit in Linux 4.16:

To enable GuC submission it seems you need to pass a value with the 1 bit set,
so 3, for example. Let me know if that resolves the issue.
In regards to this being a regression, could you share what version of
the kernel this last was confirmed to be working for you?
