Public bug reported:

Plugging in and unplugging an Apple Studio Display (5120x2880 via
Thunderbolt/USB-C) causes gnome-shell to segfault and terminate the user
session on Ubuntu 25.10 with Wayland.

Additional System Information:
Graphics: AMD Radeon 860M (integrated, amdgpu driver)
Hardware: Lenovo ThinkPad P14s Gen 6 AMD (Ryzen AI 7 PRO 350)

Note: Running at 3840x2160 due to separate 5K negotiation issues (5K
displays as black screen)

Steps to Reproduce:

- Boot system with Apple Studio Display connected via Thunderbolt/USB-C
- Log into GNOME Wayland session
- Physically unplug the Thunderbolt cable from the laptop

gnome-shell immediately segfaults
Session terminates, returning user to GDM login screen
