I can confirm that the above mentioned patch fixes the compile-errors
for kernels of the 2.6.24 series.
I suggest to update the source of virtualbox to the latest version -
1.5.4, which was released on December, 29th 2007. This new release is
ready for kernel 2.6.24 and can be compiled without any problems.
