The above PR does not fix the issue, and I've closed it. The root cause
is in gvfs and no changes are required to dash-to-dock.

The fix is to add a "disposed" flag to gvfs objects so existing
references remain valid and do not result in heap corruption. I've
submitted an issue and a MR to gvfs.
