I got the issue once, but now I'm struggling like hell to get it again. I re-provisioned windows, FastOS, tried with Ubuntu vanilla too, I never need a certificate hack for whatever reason.
One thing I noticed is that, whenever I had the problem, my username needed to be .\username, but now it does not anymore. I wonder if I was lucky / unlucky enough to try it on a specific Windows version that has a bug, because according to the upstream bug I linked that did happen. gnome-remote-desktop seems widely used against mstsc.exe and people are not complaining about such a bug. Since I saw it myself I acknowledge it exists, but narrowing it down is tricky. Questions to @Kam: - Do you have a domain-joined windows machine / did you need the .\ ? - What windows version are you using? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2137626 Title: Windows clients struggle to connect out-of-the-box To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-remote-desktop/+bug/2137626/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
