Public bug reported:

Firefox beta, which is built on Core24, requires Rustc 1.88 to build:

:: 3:40.56 ERROR: Rust compiler 1.82.0 is too old.
:: 3:40.56 To compile Rust language sources please install at least
:: 3:40.56 version 1.87.0 of the 'rustc' toolchain (or, if using nightly,
:: 3:40.57 at least one version newer than 1.87.0) and make sure it is
:: 3:40.57 first in your path.

Can you please backport Rustc-1.88 to 24.04?

This will eventually reach Firefox stable too, which is on Core22, but
we can discuss switching it to Core24 if the backport is expensive.

         Status: New

** Summary changed:
