I don't know if this has been considered, but all LibreOffice binaries in the snap package are not stripped whereas in the deb packaged version (either in Ubuntu repository or from the LibreOffice site) all binaries are stripped.
I'm wondering if the snap package LibreOffice binaries were to be built stripped of debug stuff it would reduce its the startup time. Other snapped package binaries that I have installed on my system (thunderbird, firefox, gimp) are built stripped or have just a few ancillary binaries non-stripped and their startup times are practically the same as their non-snapped program counterparts. Perhaps a LibreOffice snap with stripped binaries could be published to the edge channel for testing. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2027904 Title: LibreOffice Snap extremely slow to launch.
