Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: file-roller
Description:
When dragging files from a non-root File Roller to a root Nautilus window,
there is an error.
Steps to reproduce:
1.) Open up an existing archive, say, archive.tar.gz with 1 file inside:
test.txt
2.) Open up a root nautilus window by pressing Alt+F2, typing gksu nautilus,
and entering your password
3.) Go to a folder for which the file roller does not have permission to write
in.
4.) Drag test.txt from the archive to the root nautilus folder.
Expected behavior:
- File is copied from archive into the root folder
Actual Behavior:
- File is not copied and command line output from file-roller dialog returns:
error: cannot create /root/test.txt
