Hi. It is a pity that the pre-installed snap applications like Firefox does not work with hardware acceleration even in the latest version of Ubuntu 25.10. Also, the standard Ubuntu video player does not start because of the same problem.
This problem with snap leads to the following conclusion: 1. Install Ubuntu 2. Remove pre-installed snap applications from the standard app store. 3. Install them with Flatpak or via .deb 4. If it is important for you that the application works with hardware acceleration, do not use snap. Am I right? This is very sad. The standard store would be a good option if not this issue -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1967456 Title: Ubuntu doesn't use Nvidia driver when executing Firefox To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/oem-priority/+bug/1967456/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
