I see that the new version is already available in ESM:
$ apt-cache policy python3-apt
python3-apt:
Installed: 2.0.1ubuntu0.20.04.2esm2
Candidate: 2.0.1ubuntu0.20.04.2esm2
Version table:
*** 2.0.1ubuntu0.20.04.2esm2 510
510 https://esm.ubuntu.com/infra/ubuntu focal-infra-security/main amd64
Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
$ pip list | grep python-apt
python-apt 2.0.1+ubuntu0.20.4.2esm2
$ pip list --format json | jq '.[] | select(.name == "python-apt")'
{
"name": "python-apt",
"version": "2.0.1+ubuntu0.20.4.2esm2"
}
Tested and it looks good. Thanks Sudhakar!
