I am working on fixing the v4l2loopback-dkms issue in Bug #2114127. The root cause is a V4L2 specification violation in v4l2loopback 0.15.0 where buffers are pre-populated in the output queue without being explicitly queued via VIDIOC_QBUF. This causes GStreamer v4l2sink to fail with "buffer was not queued" errors, which results in v4l2-relayd crashing repeatedly.
The fix has been prepared with debdiffs for both Questing (0.15.0-0ubuntu3) and Resolute (0.15.3-1ubuntu2), and is ready for sponsor review. This should also resolve the v4l2-relayd failures on Noble's 6.17 kernels mentioned in this bug. See Bug #2114127 for technical details and SRU documentation. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2136769 Title: v4l2loopback >= 0.14.0 breaks gstreamer/noble To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/2136769/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
