This area has been substantially reworked in secboot in https://github.com/canonical/secboot/pull/466. There was an issue where this check wouldn't work on newer Intel generations. Are you able to try again on a resolute daily which has the fix? If the error still appears at that point, then it's likely there is in fact a compatibility issue with this hardware.
