I booted into 6.8.0-90-generic and unfortunately after a while it happened again. So it seems it's not an issue due to the 6.8->6.14 upgrade. One thing I did notice which I didn't write in the original bug report is that the issue seems much more likely to occur in a video call, perhaps because then both the output and input are active? Today I was listening to music for several hours with no issue, but almost immediately once I joined a video call it started glitching.
The dock might indeed have something to do with it, there's occasionally new firmware for it which I've upgraded to. But unfortunately I don't have any other thing that would work as a USB-C -> USB-B adapter, as the laptop only has USB-C connectors and the headphones are USB-B. I'll see if I can try with some other computer if I can reproduce these issues there as well. It's of course possible the headphones have developed some issue, but they have previously been working fine for ~5 years until this issue started appearing. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2138786 Title: USB audio device disappears To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-hwe-6.14/+bug/2138786/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
