I booted into 6.8.0-90-generic and unfortunately after a while it
happened again. So it seems it's not an issue due to the 6.8->6.14
upgrade. One thing I did notice which I didn't write in the original bug
report is that the issue seems much more likely to occur in a video
call, perhaps because then both the output and input are active? Today I
was listening to music for several hours with no issue, but almost
immediately once I joined a video call it started glitching.

The dock might indeed have something to do with it, there's occasionally
new firmware for it which I've upgraded to. But unfortunately I don't
have any other thing that would work as a USB-C -> USB-B adapter, as the
laptop only has USB-C connectors and the headphones are USB-B.

I'll see if I can try with some other computer if I can reproduce these
issues there as well. It's of course possible the headphones have
developed some issue, but they have previously been working fine for ~5
years until this issue started appearing.
