If you have a minimal reproducer on Ubuntu, even with a rustup-installed toolchain, feel free to share.
I chatted a bit with our Rust team and they don't think rustup should pull an llvm that is this old. If I understand your commit well, this should be fixed since llvm 17, which was released in 2023. So either there is something I misunderstand, or I don't know how that bug happened unless it was a very specific edge case with a really old toolchain. In any case, it will be fixed with Resolute. If you really want this fixed on older release, a way to reproduce in a scenario that makes sense would be appreciated :) Before I can even try to push for an update to be integrated into a stable release, there needs to be a real motive and example of how it fixes a real-world issue -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2136889 Title: riscv64-linux-gnu-strip can't strip the binary linked with lld To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/binutils/+bug/2136889/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
