Public bug reported:
If I haven't clicked on the xfce-panel for some time (I don't know how
long this time is, or whether it's a time-based problem) then clicking
right in the very top corner (I have a top panel configured which is
edge-to-edge) does not activate the menu for the rightmost panel applet.
If I then move the mouse slightly and click on the applet icon, the menu
activates. If I click elsewhere (to dismiss that menu) and then click in
the very top right again, the menu is correctly activated. (So the
problem is not that a top-right click _never_ activates the menu, as
would be the case if there were a slight gap to the right of that icon).
Thereafter, top-right clicks correctly activate the menu as expected.
However, some time later, this stops working again and the above first-
click-doesn't-work problem exhibits itself again. I don't know whether
this is triggered by the passage of time or by something else, though.
