I've reviewed the patches going back to noble so far, including test builds. I'll prefix my notes by saying this is good enough to sponsor, but it would be nice to see the lintian warnings on a full build cleaned up at least in resolute going forward:
* lintian complains about a whole bunch of patches in d/patches which are no longer applied. These should be cleaned up and removed at some point (I assume there's no reason to keep them around?) * lintian complains about d/rules ignored errors in the clean target. A quick read of the Makefiles called by that target indicate the only thing they ever call is rm -rf on a bunch of directories, which should never fail so this can be fixed by simply removing the "-" prefix on those lines * lintian also complains about old FSF addresses in the copyright file (again, trivial fix) * lintian complains about pkg-config which should now be pkgconf in the nvidia-settings Depends line * and finally lintian complains that the libgl1-mesa-dev Build-Depends should now be libgl-dev Basically, the build could be make lintian clean with not *much* effort, at which point the lintian output would become useful for spotting actual issues. It also notes the debhelper version is way out of date (10), which is also probably worth fixing.
