Public bug reported: I am reporting an issue where the internal digital microphone (DMIC) is not recognized on my ASUS ExpertBook BM1503CDA.
Hardware Environment: - Laptop: ASUS ExpertBook BM1503CDA - CPU: AMD Rembrandt (Ryzen 7000 series) - Audio: AMD ACP 6x Audio Coprocessor [1022:15e2] (rev 60) - Codec: Realtek ALC256 - Kernel: 6.14.0-37-generic (Ubuntu 24.04) Problem Description: The system only detects the "Headset Mic" (0x19), but the internal digital microphone is completely missing from the available input devices. I have already tried the following without success: 1. Installing 'firmware-sof-signed' and 'alsa-ucm-conf'. 2. Setting 'options snd-intel-dspcfg dsp_driver=3'. 3. The 'lsmod' output confirms that 'snd_sof_amd_rembrandt' is loaded, but the microphone remains unavailable. It seems my specific Subsystem ID (0x00aa0100) is missing a quirk or proper PDM initialization in the current kernel version.
