Now, with the correct version of the Nvidia 580 drivers, I still see that the Nvidia Control Panel states that the PowerMizer setting is running in Adaptive mode. ggggrrrr..... I mean to have the system actually using the Nvidia board I specifically purchased, installed, loaded drivers.... "Pedal to the metal, burn baby, burn! Let's go already!"
I am able to have the Windows Tweaks Manager \ Compositor \ Enable Display Compositing check box checked, and no hideous UI flashing occurs. Having the Compositor enabled again removes the ugly black box around the Xfce Panel menu. ** Attachment added: "Nvidia Settings PowerMizer screen showing Adaptive mode" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-graphics-drivers-580/+bug/2138998/+attachment/5941301/+files/NvidiaSettingsBackOnWorkingVersionPowerMizerStillShowsAdaptiveMode.jpg -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2138998 Title: Nvidia drivers updated this week 20260124 cause annoying flashing of screen when used with Compositor To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-graphics-drivers-580/+bug/2138998/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
