I don't know anything more there about it than what was written on that
page. The LM Studio maintainers may be unaware of this issue.

I expect there is no chance that Ubuntu Desktop 26.04 LTS will include 
libfuse2t64 in the default install after it was demoted to universe years ago.

I think you're right that the old fuse 2 is likely to be available in
universe since I don't see anyone working on removing it from Ubuntu
ahead of Unstable now (although it's already been removed from Testing).
