Public bug reported:
Upgraded the drivers to nvidia-driver-580 and found that visual effects lagged.
Sounds would start playing but the video would not be visible on the screen yet
and it would stutter a lot.
Switched to Intel: Power Saving and the problem no longer appeared (effectively
not using the Nvidia GPU).
Downgraded the driver to nvidia-driver-570 and switched back to
performance mode and the problem was also gone.
Nvidia card in question: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060/PCIe/SSE2
