Public bug reported:
After a recent update, GPU acceleration broke, falling back to llvmpipe
software rendering. glxinfo reported "Screen 0 does not appear to be
DRI3 capable."
It seems a phased update pushed libgl1-mesa-dri version
25.2.8-0ubuntu0.24.04.1 and LLVM 20.
Downgrading the Mesa stack back to the stable archive version
24.0.5-1ubuntu1 and LLVM 17/18 restored hardware acceleration and DRI3
functionality.
