Never reproduced; did not match what was found in source; no further
feedback from poster; simple workaround; the variable names have changed
in the latest version AND there is a systemd unit in version
2.21+really2.21-1, so new versions of Ubuntu will not need the
initscript even if the systemd generator is still available. I think
it's time to close this.
