Public bug reported: I have an Acer Nitro ANV15-51 laptop and a P2 headset (HyperX Cloud Core) and while the sound output works, the P2 microphone is not recognized at all on any Ubuntu releases I tried (22.04, 24.04 and 25.10).
The soundcard is a Realtek ALC245. I've seen lots of people on reddit and elsewhere reporting this issue but no solutions have been found. It is NOT an issue on Windows 11 where it works flawlessly. I tried: 1. Using Pavucontrol to identify missing mics 2. Using hdajackretask to redirect pin audio, none of the settings worked 3. Changing alsa-base.conf with some other settings but none of them worked.
