I believe this did not occur in jammy and older because the packages are compiled with _FORTIFY_SOURCE=2, which does not validate the size passed to snprintf against objects whose size can't be determined at compile time. With _FORTIFY_SOURCE=3, which is used in noble+, I believe __builtin_dynamic_object_size is used.
