Public bug reported:

QA install of 24.04.4 ISO on
- sony vaio ultrabook svp11216cgb (i5-4200u, 4gb, intel haswell-ULT)

install completed; I clicked restart and

** expected result

told to eject media

** actual result


screen went blank & device sat there >5 mins, no eject message...


on hitting Ctrl+Alt+F1, Ctrl+Alt+F2, then Ctrl+Alt+F1  I was able to eventually 
get to a screen which had a message.. on hitting enter system restarted

Just hitting ENTER will restart box; but on this device I only got a
black screen and underscore/pointer (that didn't change) about 1/3 rd
down & right from top left corner of screen that sat there statically
