Firmware is at the latest version. Intel it not interested in debugging 'old' 6.8 kernels. Firmware is a black box so there's not much we can do.
Things you can try: 1) Try the HWE kernel 2) Try older firmware versions [1] 3) Try mainline kernels [2]. If you find a working one (as close to 6.8 as possible) we might be able to find a kernel fix. [1] iwlwifi in 6.8 supports APIs 30 to 46. You're currently loading 46 (9260-th-b0-jf-b0-46.ucode). Temporarily remove /lib/firmware/iwlwifi-9260-th-b0-jf-b0-46.ucode.zst and reboot. This should then load -38.ucode. If that doesn't work remove /lib/firmware/iwlwifi-9260-th-b0-jf-b0-38.ucode.zst to test -34. [2] https://kernel.ubuntu.com/mainline/dashboard.html Note that mainline kernels are unsigned so you need to disable SecureBoot. Let me know how that goes. ** Changed in: linux-firmware (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => Juerg Haefliger (juergh) ** Changed in: linux-firmware (Ubuntu) Status: New => Triaged ** Changed in: linux-firmware (Ubuntu) Status: Triaged => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2088354 Title: Intel(R) Wireless-AC 9260 iwlwifi fails to load firmware after upgrade to 24.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-firmware/+bug/2088354/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
