if we move multipath to 11, we might then also have to update sg3-utils- udev, because with the path discovery being at 11-dm-mpath, the scsi id/wwn detection is at 55-scsi-sg3_id.rules (sets ID_SERIAL) but that can be used in multipath.conf (55 is the upstream order, though). so scsi ids should be before multipath device mapping.
also, 55-dm.rules should run before *-dm-mpath.rules (says 55-dm.rules file), but with a prio 11 it wouldn't. so getting this ordering right seems tricky, especially since debian has settled on 55-dm.rules which other distros have at 10-dm.rules instead (gentoo, archlinux, ...) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2137190 Title: 70multipath-module-setup.sh pointing to ghost location for kpartx To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/dracut/+bug/2137190/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
