Public bug reported:
I run Ubuntu 26.40 on my PC with NVidia 4090 video card. About a week ago after
apt update/upgrade my PC stopped to boot. To repair it I used "apt purge
nvidia-*". After removal of NVidia driver it boots, but works bad (use only one
display). Every run of "ubuntu-driver install" repeats the issue every day.
"apt update/upgrade" doesn't help. It seems that PC does not work with NVidia
driver 380 or 390.
I tested my PC with Ubuntu 25.10 and it works fine with NVidia drivers.
So I think that an issue was added at 26.04 recently. Please help.
