I tried two different 7600GT based cards, the ASUS one with 2xDVI works ok, the MSI one with 1xDVI and 1xHDMI does not (looks the same as with 7.10)
Everything looks ok in the installer (the livecd I guess it should be called) until X is started, then the graphics is garbled. I have made a youtube video of the video startup (at the start black screen when I just killed the X server by ctrl-alt-backspace) just to indicate what kind of garbleness it is.
