** Description changed: + [SRU] 2.74.1: + https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/snapd/+bug/2138629 + + [ Impact ] + + The user preferences, e.g. ignoring specific errors, is not preserved + between the initial pre-install check prior to installation and the re- + run of the pre-install check that happens during the start of + installation. This result in a failed installation due to "setup- + storage-encryption" handler failing. + + [ Test Plan ] + + 1. Reproduce with snapd deb < 2.74.1 + + Just point to evidence that this happens, no need to reproduce again. + + 2. Prove fixed with snapd deb 2.74.1 + + Perform installation using latest 2.74.1, choose to ignore and error, and ensure + the installation does not fail. + + ---original--- + I enabled Absolute on my XPS15 and attempted to install with TPM backed FDE enabled. The installer correctly presented me with an error to inform me that Absolute is enabled, giving me the option to ignore it and proceed anyway. After ignoring the error, the install eventually failed because it looks like setup-storage-encryption re-runs the checks, returning the same error that I previously ignored. This was tested with the Resolute daily from Friday 6th
