Public bug reported:

Summary:
The sound card was working perfectly until yesterday, but after installing the
system updates on February 23rd, the audio output has completely stopped
working.
Steps to Reproduce:

Use Ubuntu 26.04 with audio working (as of Feb 22nd).
Apply system updates released on February 23, 2026.
    Restart the system.
    Attempt to play any sound.

Expected Result:
Audio should be played through the output device as it did before the update.
Actual Result:
No sound output is available. The system fails to recognize the hardware or
remains silent despite showing active streams.
Additional Context:
This is a regression caused by the latest package updates (Feb 23). I suspect
it might be related to the recent kernel or PipeWire/WirePlumber updates in the
development branch.
