I encountered this and found this bug report, thanks. But want to add
something. In my case I got the error "failed to map segment from shared
object" when trying to load a plugin from
$HOME/.local/lib/wireshark/plugins/4.4/epan/foo.so. The solution was to
add `m` next to the `r` as described above which allows for memory
mapping.
Through trial and error I also found I only need these two lines (note
the `m`):
owner @{HOME}/.config/wireshark/* r,
owner @{HOME}/.local/lib/wireshark/plugins/** rm,
There are subdirs under .config/wireshark/ but I guess tshark never
reads them?
